MTAC’s CQB Instructor Development is the first of 3 courses focusing on the fundamentals and principles of CQB. The course focuses on the foundational building blocks of CQB, specifically the actions of a 4-man assault team to clear a multi-room single story structure as well as the administrative knowledge to safely execute CQB training as a team.

Note taking materials, NLTA (Sims/UTM/FX) converted rifle, NLTA converted handgun, full kit, minimum 3 rifle magazines, minimum 2 handgun magazines. 900 rounds of 5.56 NLTA, 250 rounds of 9mm NLTA. UTM Glocks and Rifle conversions are available to attendees.

This interactive course is perfect for anyone in learning how to save their own or someone else's life. Tools, training, mindset. The only variables we can control.
Gun shot wounds, vehicle accidents, farm accidents, deep cuts requiring stitches or anything else that requires immediate medical care. Buy yourself the time to get to proper care with these life-saving techniques and tools taught by leading trauma care instructors.
This is a promotion course

This course covers:

  • Individual First Aid Kit exploration

  • Trauma Trilogy

  • Hemostatic Applications

  • Wound packing

  • Hypo/Hyperthermia treatment

  • Debunking tourniquet myths/tourniquet use

  • Skill stations/scenarios

Day 2 features all hands on repetitions of wound packing, applying chest seals, and tourniquet use. Students will increase their abilities and gain confidence with their wound care via life like scenarios. The scenarios will cover:

  • Rapid injury assessment

  • Tourniquet application under stress

  • Wound packing

  • Pressure dressings

  • Chest seal application

  • Reinforced learning through stress and experience (force on force)

Student pre-requisite: Students that have complete Interior Conflict 1-see required equipment. Students that have not taken IC1 will be used in scenarios as scene medics or role players.

Required equipment: Clear eye protection meeting ANSI Z87.1, belt, pants with pockets, no open toed shoes, snacks, hydration, and a positive attitude. Please wear clothing that can get simulated blood on it. Note taking materials, AR-15 with sling (converted to shoot Mantis X Blackbeard). In lieu of purchasing NLTA ammunition, a Mantis X Blackbeard Red Laser will be required to purchase (at a deep discount) day of class if you don’t already own one. This class is no longer force on force thanks to the ATF.

Description:

Free workshop for all Interior Conflict 3 attendees and IC2 graduates.

Attendance is not mandatory, but highly recommended, especially for those attending IC3.

Doors will be open from 9am until 5pm.

In the event you are only able to attend for a couple hours it is suggested that you do so.

We all know, the more reps the better.

Ammunition will be available for purchase in the event individuals wish to conduct force on paper runs.

SWAT Medic Development Level 1

This three-day, 24-hour program is designed to train current or prospective SWAT Medics/Tactical Emergency Services (TEMS) technicians with the knowledge and ability to provide lifesaving and sustaining immediate trauma care techniques and tools in support of police SWAT operations. The course is open to Paramedics, EMTs (B) and Law Enforcement officers.

This dynamic course will provide students with the knowledge to understand tactical situations and to apply life-saving strategies to traumatic injuries which they may encounter as the primary medical technicians on SWAT teams or other tactical units. Students will learn and practice the proper use and limitations of field expedient trauma equipment and skills to include tourniquets, pressure dressings, occlusive dressings, combat gauze, wound packing, pressure points, airway management, etc. Students will also learn how to use improvised tools and materials to treat traumatic injuries when commercial equipment is not available.

Students will be guided through tactical decision-making processes, conducting effective triage of injured victims and the specific intervention methods to apply based on an understanding of the different zones of operation within tactical incidents. Students will then be given opportunities to assess their tactical decision-making processes and the proper use of medical interventions within various scenario-based training modules.

- Ballistic eyewear
- Med bag (we will provide training equipment but students may want to their own setup)
- Rifle and pistol (if allowed by your agency)

CQB 1 is an introduction to high-level tactics and structural navigation designed for law enforcement and military. This is not the same instruction as the Interior Conflict class for civilians.
