The primary objective for this course is learning to safely and effectively implement reality-based training (RBT) as a role player. Together with the instruction, the role player will gain greater conceptual understanding by participating in a variety of reality based NLTA skill building drills and by their active participation as a team member tasked with the development and implementation of group exercises using RBT.
Topics that will be discussed within this instruction include but are not limited to: approaches to NLTA training, safety, NLTA training development, phases of training, training management, time management, equipment and resources, role player methodology, critical philosophies in reality-based training scenario development and evaluations.
To sign up:
You must be a US citizen
Legal adult – 18 years old or older
Able to pass a random drug screening
Sign the NDA and Liability Release/Waiver
Able & willing to follow directions for the scenario(s)
Clothing – long sleeves, pants
Foam ear pro (optional but sometimes nice to have)
Do not bring any loaded weapons, fixed blade knives, loaded magazines or “live” munitions into MTAC. If you CCW, that’s fine – just lock it in your vehicle for the duration of the event.
*Weapons and munitions will be provided to you along with approved face and neck protection.
*Personal AR15 style rifles and magazines are allowed. A conversion bolt will be provided for use based on the class.
*Personal airsoft weapons are approved for use by role players: max 360fps.
